MakeDoc
March 20, 1997: these newest versions allow you to specify the category
for the text.
This is the compression program MAKEDOC, which builds
data files for the PilotDOC program.
-
This is the Java version of the MakeDoc program.
Please download it and test it and
let
me know hot it works. (I have reports that WinNT4.0, OS/2, FreeBSD
and Linux work; I know Win95 works; any others?)
-
This is the Win95/Win32 version. It also contains
a 16 bit version which should run in DOS. Version 8 of the .zip, version
2 of the executable. The .exe is now called "makedoc".
This is version 2. It incudes category control.
MakeDoc and MakeDocJ are programs which prepare files for use with the
(excellent) PilotDOC viewer program,
written by Rick Bram. If you are running Windows, I recommend you use MakeDocW,
written by Mark Pierce, but if you are in any other environment, try the
Java version posted here. It should do the trick.
It is early yet. If the Java version works properly, and there is demand,
I will document it better.
